Setting up your workspace - GA4

This getting-started guide focuses on testing data from Google Analytics (GA4). To setup workspace for testing data from a different data provider, check other setup guides: Piano Analytics or BigQuery.

Getting started in Waaila

To get started quickly in Waaila you can

  1. Sign up into Waaila using Google account

  2. Follow the setup wizard to create your first set of tests

  3. Check your first results

Note:
To log in, you need a Google account. If you plan to use mainly Google Analytics as the source of your data, it is recommended to log in with the account where you have the access to Google Analytics. However, you will have an option to add an additional account with the access later.

Workspace setup with a wizard

When you first log into Waaila, you are redirected to a dialog to configure tests. Currently Waaila only provides a setup wizard for Google Analytics (GA4) tests. If you want to use a different data source provider (e.g. BigQuery), continue below to create a dataset from public Template Gallery or create your own tests.

  1. Answer a few simple question to determine your expected use of Waaila tests (such as if you want to check e-commerce data) and continue to select your data

  2. Fill in the Google account email where you have access to Google Analytics data that you want to test (when you connect for the first time, Google will ask you to approve accessing your data from Waaila) and select Next
